Zoely je kombinovaná perorální antikoncepční pilulka nové generace, která se liší od tradičních pilulek použitím „tělu identických“ hormonů. Obsahuje estradiol, estrogen, který je strukturálně identický s hormonem přirozeně produkovaným vašimi vaječníky, v kombinaci s nomegestrol acetátem.

Díky této jedinečné složení je Zoely často předepisována ženám, které mají vedlejší účinky při užívání syntetických estrogenů. Následuje nepřetržitý 28denní cyklus (24 aktivních bílých tablet a 4 neaktivní žluté tablety). Tento režim pomáhá udržovat stabilní hladiny hormonů a obvykle vede k kratším, lehčím odchodovým krvácením, nebo někdy k úplné absenci krvácení.

Active tablets (White): Nomegestrol acetate (2.5 mg) and Estradiol hemihydrate (1.5 mg). Inactive tablets (Yellow): Placebo (contain no active substances). Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, talc, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica.

Nausea, headaches, breast tenderness, mood changes, or light breakthrough bleeding between periods may occur.
Less commonly: weight gain, reduced libido, irritability, or digestive disturbances.
