Propecia (Finasterid) je lék na předpis, který se primárně používá k léčbě mužské plešatosti (androgenní alopecie) na temeni hlavy a uprostřed vlasové pokožky.

Funguje tak, že blokuje přeměnu testosteronu na dihydrotestosteron (DHT), hormon, který přispívá ke ztrátě vlasů. Finasterid 1 mg se ukázal jako velmi účinný při zpomalování vypadávání vlasů a podpoře růstu nových vlasů.

Složení

The active substance is finasteride. Each tablet contains 1 mg finasteride. The other ingredients are: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose E460, pregelatinised maize starch, sodium starch glycollate, docusate sodium, magnesium stearate E572, hypromellose E464, hydroxypropyl cellulose E463, titanium dioxide, talc, yellow iron oxide E172, red iron oxide E172.
