Finasteride is a prescription medication primarily used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) at the crown and in the middle of the scalp.

 It works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to hair loss. Finasteride 1mg has been shown to be highly effective in slowing down hair loss and promoting the growth of new hair. 

The active substance is finasteride, with each film-coated tablet containing 1 mg. In addition to the active ingredient, the tablet core contains lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, lauryl macrogolglycerides, and magnesium stearate. The protective film coating consists of hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 6000, and both red and yellow iron oxides.

Decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, reduced ejaculate volume. These effects often resolve after discontinuing treatment.

Sildenafil carries several warnings that users should be aware of. It should never be used in combination with nitrate-based medications or nitric oxide donors, as this can cause a dangerously low blood pressure. Patients with serious heart conditions, severe liver or kidney impairment, or those who have recently had a heart attack or stroke should consult a doctor before using sildenafil.

Special caution is advised for individuals taking alpha-blockers or antihypertensives due to the increased risk of hypotension. Side effects such as headache, dizziness, flushing, or visual disturbances may occur. In the case of a prolonged erection (more than 4 hours) or sudden loss of vision or hearing, immediate medical attention is required. Do not use sildenafil if allergic to sildenafil or any of its components.
