Propecia (Finasteride) is a prescription medication primarily used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) at the crown and in the middle of the scalp.

It works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to hair loss. Finasteride 1mg has been shown to be highly effective in slowing down hair loss and promoting the growth of new hair.

Ingredients

The active substance is finasteride. Each tablet contains 1 mg finasteride. The other ingredients are: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose E460, pregelatinised maize starch, sodium starch glycollate, docusate sodium, magnesium stearate E572, hypromellose E464, hydroxypropyl cellulose E463, titanium dioxide, talc, yellow iron oxide E172, red iron oxide E172.
