Beskrivning
Wegovy är en veckovis injicerbar behandling från Novo Nordisk som kan hjälpa till att stödja viktminskning. Den ordineras till vuxna med fetma eller till personer som är överviktiga och har minst en viktrelaterad hälsoproblem.
Wegovy innehåller semaglutid, en aktiv ingrediens som hjälper dig att känna dig mätt längre och minskar aptiten. Injektionspennan är enkel att använda och behöver bara tas en gång i veckan. När den används tillsammans med en hälsosam kost och regelbunden motion har Wegovy visat sig i kliniska studier hjälpa människor att gå ner i vikt och förbättra sin allmänna hälsa.
Användningsanvisning
Wegovy is given as a small injection just under the skin, taken once a week at the same time each week. The injection can be administered in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Your dosage is personalised and set by your prescriber, based on your individual needs and response to treatment. For best results, Wegovy is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, following guidance from your clinical prescriber.
Ingredienser
Wegovy contains the active ingredient semaglutide and is supplied in pre-filled injection pens. It is available in strengths of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, and 1 mg in a 0.5 mL solution, as well as 1.7 mg and 2.4 mg in a 0.75 mL solution. In addition to semaglutide, the formulation includes disodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide (used for pH adjustment), and water for injections.
