Ingredients

Warnings

In women with an intact uterus, treatment must be combined with a progestogen for 12 to 14 days per 28-day cycle to reduce the risk of endometrial hyperplasia.

Only in branding and packaging. Vagifem is the original brand by Novo Nordisk, while Vagirux is a generic version. Do I need to take Progesterone with this?

Generally, No. Because the dose is local and very low, it usually does not affect the lining of the womb. Therefore, most doctors do not require you to take additional progesterone (like Utrogestan) if you are only using Vagifem.
