Description
Wegovy tablets are a once-daily oral medication containing semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Novo Nordisk (The same ingredient found in Ozempic and Wegovy injection pens). The medication is indicated for adults with obesity or overweight conditions accompanied by weight-related health complications, Wegovy is also approved to reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with established heart disease.
Semaglutide functions as a GLP-1 receptor agonist, promoting satiety and reducing appetite to support sustainable weight management when combined with dietary modification and physical activity. Treatment requires medical supervision and adherence to a structured dose escalation protocol.

The main ingredient in Wegovy is semaglutide. Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist.
