At Medetone, our current promotional price for the 2.5 mg starting dose is €234.99, reduced from €328.90 (checked 31 July 2026). Our price includes the medical consultation, a prescription when clinically appropriate, the medicine itself, home delivery and ongoing follow-up. Prices can change, so always check the live product page before ordering.

Searching for the price of Mounjaro in Italy, France, Spain or elsewhere in Europe can produce figures that seem to contradict one another. One page might show the official public medicine price, another a pharmacy's selling price, and a third a complete online-care package. These figures are not necessarily describing the same thing.

A useful price comparison needs four details: the strength, how many weekly doses the pack contains, what clinical and delivery services are included, and whether you qualify for reimbursement. It also needs a date, because commercial prices and availability change.

In this guide, we explain all six strengths, our current starting price, month-by-month budgeting, safe online prescription, dose escalation, safety and storage. Mounjaro is a prescription medicine. A lower price never removes the need for a clinician to decide whether treatment and each dose is appropriate for you.

How much does Mounjaro cost in Europe 2026?

The clearest public-price source is Eli Lilly Europe, the medicine's manufacturer. Its Italian price page groups the six KwikPen strengths into three price bands.

Mounjaro KwikPen public prices in Europe
Strength General role Listed public price Supply
2.5 mg Starting dose €346.58 Four weekly doses
5 mg Recommended maintenance option €346.58 Four weekly doses
7.5 mg Escalation step if prescribed €485.22 Four weekly doses

12.5 mg Escalation step if prescribed €623.85 Four weekly doses
15 mg Maximum and maintenance option €623.85 Four weekly doses

Prices checked on 31 July 2026. The listed public price is not automatically the amount paid by someone who meets Italian National Health Service reimbursement criteria. Commercial provider prices, including ours, can differ.

What is the current Mounjaro price at Medetone?

As of 31 July 2026, our price for the Mounjaro 2.5 mg starting dose is €234.99, reduced from €328.90. This price includes your medical consultation, a prescription if our clinician finds treatment appropriate, the dispensed medicine, home delivery and ongoing clinical follow-up.

Please don't assume the same figure applies to every strength. Select 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 or 15 mg on our product page to see the current price for the dose you have actually been prescribed.

Our price is a service price, while the Lilly figures above are public medicine prices. A fair comparison should ask whether assessment, prescription review, delivery and follow-up are included, whether the price applies to a one-off order or a subscription, and what happens if treatment is not approved.

Important: paying for our online pathway does not guarantee a prescription. We carry out identity checks and a genuine clinical assessment, and our clinicians can decide that Mounjaro is not appropriate for you.

Mounjaro price by strength

Mounjaro 2.5 mg price

The Italian public Mounjaro price is €346.58. At Medetone, the 2.5 mg starting dose is currently €234.99, reduced from €299.00 — or €224.99 with our subscribe-and-save option. The EMA product information identifies 2.5 mg as the once-weekly starting dose. After four weeks, the authorised schedule moves to 5 mg, so the first-month price should not be treated as the price of every later month.

Mounjaro 5 mg price

The Italian public Mounjaro price is €346.58. At Medetone, the 5 mg dose is currently €314.99, reduced from €359.00 — or €304.99 on subscription. Five milligrams is one of the recommended adult maintenance doses, alongside 10 mg and 15 mg. It may be clinically appropriate to remain at 5 mg, but that decision belongs to your prescriber.

Mounjaro 7.5 mg price

The Italian public Mounjaro price is €485.22. At Medetone, the 7.5 mg dose is currently €434.99, reduced from €449.00 — or €424.99 on subscription. The 7.5 mg strength is generally an escalation step between 5 and 10 mg when a further increase is needed. It is not a recommended adult maintenance dose, so please don't order it in anticipation of an increase that has not been prescribed.

Mounjaro 10 mg price

The Italian public Mounjaro price is €485.22. At Medetone, the 10 mg dose is currently €439.99, reduced from €499.00 — or €429.99 on subscription. Ten milligrams is a recommended maintenance option. Our clinicians consider your response, side effects, other medicines and the time spent on your current dose before recommending any change.

Mounjaro 12.5 mg price

The Italian public Mounjaro price is €623.85. At Medetone, the 12.5 mg dose is currently €544.99, reduced from €579.00 — or €534.99 on subscription. The 12.5 mg strength is usually an escalation step between 10 and 15 mg if required. Lilly Italy states that the 12.5 mg and 15 mg formulations became available in Italy from 3 July 2025.

Mounjaro 15 mg price

The Italian public Mounjaro price is €623.85. At Medetone, the 15 mg dose is currently €549.99, reduced from €599.00 — or €539.99 on subscription. Fifteen milligrams is the maximum adult weekly dose and a possible maintenance dose, but not everyone needs or tolerates it. A higher price and a higher dose do not guarantee a proportionally better result.

How much does Mounjaro cost per month and per year?

A multidose Mounjaro KwikPen delivers four fixed weekly doses. It is commonly described as a one-month supply, although four weeks do not always equal a full calendar month. A 52-week budget therefore uses 13 four-week cycles.

An annual estimate depends on your prescribed pathway. The following examples use Italian public prices and are budgeting illustrations — not treatment recommendations.

Illustration: escalation to 15 mg. A theoretical sequence of four weeks each at 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 12.5 mg followed by 15 mg costs €2,911.30 for the first six four-week packs at public prices. Six further 15 mg packs would bring 48 weeks to €6,654.40, and a thirteenth pack covering 52 weeks would make the illustrative total €7,278.25.

Illustration: remaining on 5 mg. One 2.5 mg pack followed by twelve 5 mg packs would cost €4,505.54 for 52 weeks at the public price. This is not a recommendation to remain at 5 mg; it shows why the maintenance dose is one of the biggest budget variables.

Illustration: maintenance at 10 mg. One pack each of 2.5, 5 and 7.5 mg followed by ten 10 mg packs would cost €6,030.58 for 52 weeks at public prices. Real pathways can involve longer periods at one dose, no further escalation, a reduction or discontinuation.

Use these scenarios to think about affordability before starting. Please don't alter, delay or stop a dose because of price without speaking to your prescriber. If cost may interrupt your treatment, tell our clinical team so we can discuss safe options and a long-term plan with you.

What does Medetone include in the price?

At Medetone, we provide a clinician-led pathway rather than a simple medicine sale. Our price includes:

  • a medical consultation based on your health history and goals;
  • review by a licensed clinician;
  • a prescription only when clinically appropriate;
  • dispensing of the prescribed medicine;
  • home delivery;

Apotheek Medetone B.V. is listed in the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport's online-medicine register in the UR category, the category for prescription-only medicines supplied by a pharmacy in the Netherlands.

Before ordering, you can also check with us whether needles are included, how delivery is priced, how often follow-up is available, the rules for changing strength, whether renewal is automatic, cancellation times and the refund process if treatment is not approved.

Can Mounjaro be prescribed online safely?

Yes, when a regulated service gathers enough information about your health, verifies your identity, uses a licensed prescriber and dispenses through a registered pharmacy. At Medetone, this is exactly how our pathway works. It is not an automatic checkout: our clinicians may ask follow-up questions, request tests, or decide that in-person care is more suitable for you before any prescription is issued.

Keep in mind that EU countries do not all treat online sales of prescription medicines in the same way. The official Your Europe guidance confirms there is no single EU-wide rule allowing online prescription-medicine sales everywhere. Always confirm provider registration, the rules in your country, and whether delivery is available to your address.

Why “Mounjaro price Amazon” is the wrong search

Mounjaro is not an ordinary marketplace product. It needs a prescription, verified sourcing, appropriate dispensing, controlled cold-chain handling and clinical support. An anonymous listing, social-media seller or private message cannot provide those safeguards.

Warning signs include a seller offering Mounjaro without a prescription, letting customers choose any dose, an implausibly low price, untraceable payment only, a hidden pharmacy identity, no identity verification, or promises of guaranteed weight loss.

The safest version of "where can I get Mounjaro cheaply?" is: compare transparent prices from registered providers for the same prescribed strength, and include assessment, delivery and follow-up in the total. Never choose a different dose because it is cheaper.

How does the Mounjaro dose schedule work?

The authorised adult schedule starts at 2.5 mg once weekly. After four weeks, the dose increases to 5 mg. If a further increase is needed, the dose can rise in 2.5 mg steps only after at least four weeks on the current dose. Recommended adult maintenance doses are 5, 10 and 15 mg, and 15 mg is the maximum.

This schedule explains why 7.5 and 12.5 mg are described as escalation steps — and why no price article should suggest that every patient reaches 15 mg. The aim is the right balance of response and tolerability, not automatic progression to the maximum.

If a dose is missed, EMA information says it can be taken within four days. If more than four days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on the regular day. Never double dose. Your weekly injection day can be changed if at least three days separate the injections.

Where to inject Mounjaro

Mounjaro comes as a pre-filled injectable pen, so there's no need to measure or draw up your dose, it's ready to use. Take your injection once a week, on the same day and at around the same time. Keeping to a regular schedule helps maintain steady medication levels in your body, which supports effectiveness and may reduce side effects.

You can inject Mounjaro into your abdomen (stomach area) or upper thighs. The upper arm is also an option, but only if someone else administers the injection for you. To avoid soreness and skin irritation, rotate your injection site every week rather than injecting in the same spot.

A simple way to do this:

  1. Choose an area - abdomen or upper legs.
  2. Divide that area into four sections - these become your rotating injection sites.
  3. Move to a new site each week, injecting at least one finger's width away from your previous injection.
  4. If injecting into the abdomen, stay at least 5 cm away from your navel.

How much weight can people lose with tirzepatide?

In SURMOUNT-1, adults with obesity or overweight and a related complication, without diabetes, had average weight changes at 72 weeks of about 15.0% with 5 mg, 19.5% with 10 mg and 20.9% with 15 mg, compared with approximately 3.1% with placebo. Participants also received lifestyle support.

These are group averages, not guarantees. Individual results vary, and some participants discontinued treatment. A higher dose produced greater average weight loss in the trial, but it is not automatically the best choice for every individual.

SURMOUNT-4 found substantial weight regain among participants switched from tirzepatide to placebo after an initial treatment phase, while those continuing treatment maintained and extended weight reduction. This supports planning weight management as a long-term process, though treatment duration remains an individual clinical decision.

In the head-to-head SURMOUNT-5 trial, tirzepatide produced greater average weight loss than semaglutide at maximum tolerated doses in adults with obesity without diabetes. That result does not decide which medicine is right for you safety, tolerance, cost and clinical circumstances still matter.

Side effects, precautions and urgent warning signs

The most frequent adverse effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal discomfort and reduced appetite. They are often more noticeable during initiation and dose increases. Persistent vomiting or diarrhoea can cause dehydration and worsen kidney function.

Severe, persistent abdominal pain, sometimes radiating to the back, can be a sign of acute pancreatitis and needs urgent medical assessment. Tirzepatide also needs careful review in people with severe gastrointestinal disease, including severe gastroparesis.

Hypoglycaemia risk is higher when Mounjaro is used with insulin or a sulfonylurea. Your clinician may need to adjust those medicines and advise glucose monitoring. Patients with advanced diabetic retinopathy need appropriate monitoring.

Tell your surgical and anaesthetic team before any procedure requiring general anaesthesia or deep sedation, because delayed gastric emptying may increase aspiration risk. Tirzepatide is not recommended during pregnancy, and EMA information says to stop at least one month before a planned pregnancy. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and contraception should be discussed with your clinician.

Seek urgent help for severe or persistent abdominal pain, inability to keep fluids down, signs of severe dehydration, significant hypoglycaemia, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing or a serious allergic reaction. Read the leaflet supplied with your product and contact your prescriber about any persistent or concerning symptoms.

How should Mounjaro be stored?

Before use, Mounjaro is stored in a refrigerator at 2–8 °C and must not be frozen. For the multidose KwikPen, EMA information says that after first use it is stored out of the refrigerator below 30 °C and discarded 30 days after first use, after four weekly doses.

Single-dose pens and vials have different out-of-refrigerator rules, including a cumulative limit of up to 21 days below 30 °C. Always follow the leaflet for the format actually supplied.

Comparing Europe with UK prices

UK prices are useful only as separate market context. Currency, regulation, pack, procurement and included services differ. For an independent UK comparison, see Rightangled’s guide to weight-loss injection costs in the UK. Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest Mounjaro strength in Europe?

The lowest Italian public-price band is €346.58 for 2.5 mg and 5 mg. Our 2.5 mg option is currently €234.99, but prices and promotions can change. Remember: dose selection is a clinical decision, not a price choice.

Does one Mounjaro KwikPen last a month?

It contains four fixed weekly doses, so it lasts four weeks. A 52-week budget uses 13 four-week packs rather than twelve calendar-month packs.

Is Mounjaro available without a prescription?

No. It is a prescription medicine. Any site offering it without a clinical assessment and prescription is a major warning sign.

Do I have to reach 15 mg?

No. Five, 10 and 15 mg are recommended maintenance options, and 15 mg is the maximum rather than a target for everyone. Your prescriber decides whether any increase is needed.

Can I buy Mounjaro on Amazon?

A generic marketplace is not the appropriate channel for a prescription medicine requiring verified dispensing and temperature control. Use a registered pharmacy and a genuine clinical pathway.

Are needles included in the price?

The KwikPen requires a compatible new needle for each dose. Check our product page or contact us to confirm what is included with your order, and obtain a sharps container for safe disposal.

Can I stop when I reach my goal?

Don't stop without discussing a maintenance and follow-up plan with your clinician. Clinical studies show weight regain can occur after withdrawal, but treatment duration and discontinuation are individual decisions.

How often should prices be checked?

Check the live product variant before every order. We review this article's price table at least monthly and update the visible verification date whenever a figure changes.
